iMage Tools App Reviews

Was an extraordinay “app”, version 1.0.16, until I migrated from Mavericks to El Capitan!! Used primarlily to create “text” watermarks. Worked for years on Mavericks, but once I migrated to El Capitan, this feature keeps “crashing"! Also very useful for “resizing” images under El Capitan. Unable to contact the developers to report this “bug”, get web “Error establishing a database connection”. Other paid “apps” can create the watermark satisfactorily, but their “resizing" feature misses the mark. Would highly recommend for those who run on Mavericks or earlier OSX’s.

I just used the resize and rename function and it works pretty good, the userinterface would be only 3-4 of 5 stars it have some bugs I think for example if I close the program by the Red X, then I cant open it again with a click on the icon in the taskbar but the main Functions are excelent! thanks a lot

Crash -> Watermark -> Text

Crash -> Watermark -> Text App crashes every time on use of Watermark. Unfortunately, there is probably no more updates

Thekla87 v1.0.16 · 11 years ago

If you using the watermark text within the app it will crash. I now it´s a free app. Better an updated app and not for free app than an app that doesn´t work.

don

free to download… pay to use most of features… pretty useless as a free app… deleted as soon as purchased.

False advertising

You can more with Mac OS X "Preview" app than you can with this useless app.

T.Y1 v1.0.15 · 14 years ago

Was looking for an application to watermark pictures and this one does the job just fine. If you use an existing image however, you can scale it smaller, but not bigger, but other than that, it does the job very well for what I need.

NOT FREE!

Waste of time to download only view your photo unless you want to pay to ADD all the editing features which totally negates the FREE option.

it works for me

500 images, resized in a minute! it works alright, and for that is free, which others charge 9.99 or more. I give full stars for the litte help!

For everyone this is more of a batch imagining editor. And it works great. The only thing is there are a few ui problems with the "switches" where when you clike one some of the others the words will be covered up by the switch. And the "Live preview" really isnt live as you have to click a view button then click back. Clicking the view button to look at each little ajustment becomes annoying. But over all a good app with the upgrades

realtime preview costs money? what a joke. The one thing it did do well was the ease of adding pictures or folders, so that was good. The only use i can see would be as others said with the batch resizing or the other 2 things you can do with it. Anything in-depth this is not good for. Skitch or any of the sketchbooks (or countless other paintbrush apps) would probably be easier to use to add text to a picture, just not 100 pictures with the same thing.

SO I am okay with addign features for a price, but come on really? No preview without add on? What exactly are you going to charge for if this is FREE for a limited time? You have rename and resize, no preview. Might as well use automator. The interface seems good, but I have nothing to judge it on because there is no preview without in app purchase Luckily, youve opened yourself up to being exposed before you change the price to those who didnt get ripped off by paying money for a near functionless app. It could be good, and maybe even for a reasonable price, but people resent being baited.

does not do much, but I guess its ok if you dont have anything else, like Adobe or Paint Shop. All it has is -Resize, rename and watermark. To get more functions, you must purchase them at .99¢ each. Also, I used it twice (to try) and it crashed both times.

I have been looking for a quick image resizer and have tried many of them. Either their UI is awful or something else is wrong with it. I stumbled upon iMage today and downloaded this free version. Its a free copy that allows you to try rename, resize and watermark images. All three functions worked great. Since I liked the UI and the app worked like a charm, I decided to invest the 3.99 for all of the tools. Im not sure why some people consider this a problem. The App Store doesnt allow you to download a demo version, so why not offer the app for free to try and then charge for additional tools? You can go to their website and download a trial version also. Their website link is on the page where you purchased the app to begin with. I have a few wish list items - like removing the purchase button after youve made the in-app purchase and using jpg instead of jpeg extension for jpg export but thats just a personal preference for me - but otherwise, this app is great so far!
